Marwell Hotel, nr Winchester. 2nd - 4th July 2010
This year the South Central area are arranging the Hampshire Challenge. This is the ideal chance to ride some of the best roads in the south. The scenery is magnificent ranging from "the hangers" in the north, across the South Downs to the Solent coastline and across to the beautiful New Forest.
This years challenge is based at the centrally located Marwell Hotel (click for details) which promises a very warm welcome to all Pan riders and pillions. Please contact them directly to book your room and please hurry before they all go. Remember to quote "Pan Clan weekend" to make sure you get the special pricing. Once you have booked please let us know so that we can add you to our list. During the weekend, as well as the challenge itself, there will be various raffles and quizzes, the proceeds from which will be donated to the Hampshire Air Ambulance.
Just for fun here are a few clues that may help you on your way (or not). The full set will be published and distributed at the challenge.
If you have questions or want more information please contact the South Central area representative: Ken Porter on 01189 816533 or email:joandp@tiscali.co.uk.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Charity was launched in October 2005 and became operational on 1st July 2007. It typically flies two or three missions every day and has already attended 550 incidents - many of them life saving. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Charity relies entirely on voluntary donations, and for this vital service to succeed, it needs to raise more than £65,000 every month: that's over £2000 every day. None of us know when we may need its help. Airborne within three minutes of a 999 call, the Air Ambulance will be able to reach most of Hampshire and Isle of Wight within fifteen minutes, and it can land in an area half the size of a tennis court.
